MARRIOTT APPROVED FOR PARRAMATTA
THE 27-storey, 300-room Marriott’s Starwood Four Points by Sheraton, at 89 George Street, in the Parramatta CBD has been approved. The hotel will sit on a small 18-metre wide lot neighbouring the Perth House, a single-storey sandstone Colonial Victorian Georgian residence dating back to 1841.

EASTERN CREEK INCINERATOR REFUSED
THE Eastern Creek waste-to-energy incinerator proposed by Dial-A-Dump Industries’ Next Generation Pty Ltd has been refused by the Independent Planning Commission. The commission said there was insufficient evidence that the technology to be used to control pollution from the facility was capable of managing its emissions.
