The new family business, winner in the Café Category at this year's Local Business Awards, boasts customers from across the road and all the way past the M4.
"Having grown up and worked in Merrylands as a youngster, the decision to move back into the area after 15 years and open up a café has been really rewarding," said owner Gino Granata.
"With our experience of owning a fine dining restaurant (Via Leoni in Drummoyne), we felt a café was what Pemulwuy was yearning for and it brings a cosmopolitan and family friendly atmosphere.
"We keep getting told that this is exactly what the area of Holroyd needed, and somewhere for the locals to come to and feel part of our extended family.
"We're getting good feedback from everyone, including just over 5,000 likes on our Facebook in eight months, and we even have some Western Sydney Wanderers players hang out here as their local.”
Holroyd City Mayor Nasr Kafrouni said: "We have all had someone tell us about a good place for coffee or where to find the best gelato, so it's no surprise that Granata's has become not just a local favourite but a Western Sydney café hot spot. “
