Loxley’s timeless heritage and charm dates to September 28, 1833, when 50 acres were granted to William Townsend by Sir Thomas Brisbane, Governor.
In 1859, Sir Charles Moore, Director of Sydney Botanic Gardens acquired the property. The estate became known as Loxley in 1863 when it was sold to Richard Holdsworth.
Fast forward to 1997, when Paul Maher purchased the property including the original house, and Loxley on Bellbird Hill was born.
Nestled on 30 acres of tranquil garden, rainforest and rural parkland, Loxley on Bellbird Hill is the ideal venue offering privacy and a boutique elegant country style setting with wedding photo opportunities for everlasting memories of your special day.
Spanning close to two centuries, this magnificent property has evolved over the years; from what appeared originally as a rural retreat with a fruit orchard, to the luxurious multi-award-winning resort specialising in weddings, garden ceremonies, special events, conferences, corporate events, team building activities, private dining, Christmas parties and accommodation.
