Community groups, schools and not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for funding of $1,000 up to $10,000 to deliver community activities that build social connectedness, improve community mental health and wellbeing, or support future emergency response preparedness.
Example activities could include:
- Community events EG music sessions, BBQs, morning teas.
- Social outings and school trips.
- Creative art or writing workshops.
- Mental health training.
- Meditation, yoga or mindfulness sessions.
- Resilience and preparedness workshops.
Proposed activities should not duplicate or compete with existing services.
Successful grant applicants will have until 30 November 2023 to complete their program activities and ensure that all funding has been used. As part of the grant, recipients are expected to report back on their activities by sharing photos, stories and community feedback.
To apply, you must be a community group, school or not-for-profit organisation, and have been impacted by the 2022 floods.
Applications will not be accepted from for-profit organisations, government departments or agencies, political groups or individuals.
Please do not apply if you have already received flood recovery funding from another government agency or Primary Health Network in the same region.
Applications close soon, so apply now on the WSPHN website: www.wentwest.com.au/flood-grant
