X-Factor stars shine at Penrith Lakes

THERE will be plenty of entertainment on offer at Penrith’s Australia Day Concert at the Lakes on Monday, January 26.

2014 X-Factor winner Marlisa Punzalan will perform her hit single ‘Stand By You’ and music from her upcoming debut album.

2013 X-Factor runner up Taylor Henderson will perform songs from his two number one albums including ‘Borrow My Heart’ and ‘When You Were Mine’.

Meanwhile, Sydney’s number one cover band Seattle Sound will have hits from Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Kings of Leon.

There’ll also be plenty of entertainment for the little ones; they can sing-along to Play School presenter Justine Clarke’s popular songs and The Jitterbugs will perform their high energy environmentally friendly show.

Unfortunately, Justice Crew, who were to perform are not able to make it.

Penrith’s free annual Australia Day party at Sydney International Regatta Centre is always popular.

Major sponsors of the day are the Office of Sport, Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics and Sims Metal Management.  Also supporting the event: Australia Day Council, Busways, Penrith City Gazette, The Western Weekender, Target Radio Network, Penrith Homemaker Centre and Woolworths.

Penrith’s Australia Day at the Lakes kicks-off at Penrith Lakes at 6pm. Gates open at 5.30pm. For more information on Parking and Conditions of Entry go to http://penrithcity.nsw.gov.au/ausday/
