Women entrepreneurs can apply for a $10,000 grant

FORMING Circles, a social and ethical investment organisation focused on supporting women entrepreneurs has launched the Kickstart Your Business Grant valued at over $10,000.

Australian women entrepreneurs starting a business, expanding or just looking for cash injection are invited to apply for the grant on www.formingcirles.com.au. Applications are open from 25th February and close 12th March 2014.

The Kickstart Your Business Grant includes $5,000 in cash and over $5,000 in valuable mentorship with successful women entrepreneurs.

Mentors will address major areas of running a scalable business such as marketing, social media and online, personal branding, networking, accounting and cash flow.

Mentorship will give the successful applicant invaluable support and guidance that will help accelerate their growth.

The mentors are:

•    Kim McGiunness – Managing Director, Network Central.
•    Melissa Browne – CEO, A+TA (Accounting  & Taxation Advantage).
•    Janine Garner – CEO, LBD Group (Little Black Dress Group).
•    Lee Ussher – Co-founder Buzz Media Web and Social Media Babe.

“Australia is a hotbed for women entrepreneurs – there are some fabulous women with brilliant ideas shaping our economy,” said Renata Cooper, founder and CEO of Forming Circles.

“However, it is proven that most upcoming entrepreneurs feel comfortable pitching to and asking for support from their networks and communities and specifically, from other women.

“I launched the Kickstart Your Business Grant to give women entrepreneurs a helping hand when they need it most.

“But just as importantly, I wanted to reiterate the importance of the community coming together to support each other in realising our full potential.”

Applicants will be gauged on how they will benefit from the grant and a demonstration of their growth strategy.

Interested applicant should visit:
